C4Lypso and shinobi have reportedly created a new VALORANT team

Date:

Former Rise player Abdo “c4Lypso” Agha and former Cloud9 Blue player Josh “shinobi” Abastado have put together a new VALORANT team and will look for an organization to represent, according to a report by George Geddes from Upcomer.

Aside from these two players, the team reportedly features former Complexity member Mike “sharky” Garity and Brenden “stellar” McGrath, who’s benched by Luminosity. The non-sponsored team is still looking for a fifth player and doesn’t have a coach to assist them.

Since stellar is still under contract with Luminosity, the team would have to play with a stand-in at VCT events. Former Evil Geniuses player Aleksandar Hinojosa, who became an unrestricted free agent on Monday, July 12, is one of the options, alongside former Serenity player Tyler “sym” Porter, according to Upcomer.

Nothing is set in stone yet, though, since the team will likely make “significant changes” if they can’t find an organization to play for. C4Lypso and shinobi are the two players leading the project and have been in free agency since July 2021 and December 2020, respectively. C4Lypso has found more success in VALORANT so far, helping Rise win a couple of tournaments.

The players will probably release more details about the team ahead of the NA VCT Stage Three: Challengers Two open qualifier, which will kick off on July 22. There are only four Challenger Playoffs spots up for grabs and teams like Version1, TSM, FaZe Clan, and Gen.G haven’t qualified yet.
