BREAKING: Calls for the search to resume for MH370 as a possible crash site located

Date:

Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 flown by a Boeing 777-200ER en-route to Beijing, China (PEK) from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (KUL) mysteriously disappeared on March 8th, 2014. Since then it has become the greatest aviation mystery to date. The aircraft was carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew when it went lost communication with the ground and disappeared over the Indian Ocean. The search for the missing Boeing 777 continued until 2018 but was called off because of no strong leads as to where and how the aircraft had presumably crashed.

Many parts of the aircraft have been washing up on the African coast every once in a while, a new piece of debris was found washed up on a beach near Cape Tribulation, in North Queensland, Australia, last month. Air Crash Experts had tried to find the crash site in 2018 along 2300 possible flight paths that the aircraft could have flown on, with the most likely crash site being at S34.2342 and E93.7875, near the western coast of Australia after flying past Indonesia. Crash Expert Victor Lanello now says that the crash site could be about 100 nautical miles from the new site and expressed his confidence in this theory by saying there are “better than even odds.”

Lanello also said “We believe another search should occur in the recommended search area. Prior to searching, the existing sonar data in that vicinity should be re-examined to ensure that the debris field was not misclassified as a natural feature.” With the new debris being found in Australia, many people hope that this will re-reignite calls for the search to be resumed.

As this is a developing story, AeroNewsX will provide an update. But one can only watch and hope that these new discoveries may lead to another new investigation. If a new investigation is launched, hopefully it will be able to provide a conclusive answer to the disappearance of flight MH370.
