That’s right, BMW’s esports arm is coming up with a manga titled “Heroes of Rivalry.” Based on the “United in Rivalry” teams partnered with BMW, it promises to be an interesting manga, to say the very least. This announcement also revealed BMW’s latest partner – OG Esports. What players can we see show up in this manga, though? Players from Cloud9, FNATIC, FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports, and T1 will all be represented in this upcoming manga from BMW esports.

Heroes In Rivalty, the BMW Esports Isekai Manga

Most of these organizations are known for their prowess in League of Legends, except perhaps OG Esports. They’re more known for DOTA 2. So what can we expect from the BMW Esports Manga, Heroes of Rivalry?  The manga in question will have the esports pros thrown into what’s known as an Isekai manga. Isekai is when a person from the “real world” gets thrown into an alternate dimension/world/time period. Think Inu-Yasha/Yasha-Hime, or perhaps That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime. When a character travels from the world they know to a world they don’t, that’s considered Isekai.

The art for Heroes of Rivalry from BMW Esports will be handled by Acky Bright, a Japanese artist, and the concept/storyline from Jung von Matt, a German agency. This is definitely an interesting thing to see in the world of esports, and with a well-known artist develop the style, we should see many people picking this book up when it releases. As a fan of manga in general, I’m very excited to read this now that it’s out. You can find the first episode here. Speaking of which, I’m just going to. . . go read that now.
