Teams to look out for

Extra Salt

The former Cloud9 quartet found themselves a new home at Extra Salt but eventually Ian “motm” Hardy was placed on the bench, making way for Edgar “MarKE” to the active lineup. With the addition of the latter, ES went on to win the DreamHack Masters Spring 2021 in North America followed by their triumph at the VENN Invitational, the qualifier for the Blast Spring showdown. Despite their successful showings in the North American region, the ultimate European challenge awaits them where they would be put under test.

Vitality

Since the start of 2021, the Frenchman have seemed to be running on low fuel with not so colossal performances from the tournaments they competed in. The best they have played till now would be the Blast Global Finals where they placed third after going down to Natus Vincere in the Consolidation final. This was indeed followed by the ESL Pro League Season 13 where they were just able to grab 2 wins out of their five matchups, one against FaZe Clan and the other against Mousesports.

OG Esports

After a trophy-less year, the European mixture decided to shuffle their roster by moving Nathan “NBK-“ Schmitt and Issa “ISSAA” Murad to the bench. At the end of their EPL journey with just 2 wins from five matches, the team parted ways with ISSAA but they did compete at the former tournament with Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen as the replacement for NBK-.
Lately, there have been reports about OG trialling Michał “MICHU” Müller and Shahar “flameZ” Shushan for their fifth player slot and are soon expected to release their judgement. flameZ undoubtedly has been the prospect with an alluring potential alongside MICHU who last played for Team Envy before the latter decided to put their CSGO division on hold.
