Activision has revealed the new Black Ops Cold War zombie mode that will be PlayStation 4 and 5 exclusives for the first year of release. The new mode is titled Zombies: Onslaught, and the mode is a simple variation of the normal Call of Duty zombies mode.
In Onslaught, two players will be dropped into locations of the games multiplayer maps. The sections of the map are marked with a Dark Aether Orb. As you defeat zombies in each section, the orb will move locations, forcing you to traverse the map.

The new zombie mode will spawn a special type of enemy called Elites. These zombies must be brought down, as taking them down affects your rank when the game ends. A higher rank brings better rewards, and although we don’t know the rewards yet we can comfortably assume they will be weapons and skins. This new Onslaught mode is quite exciting, but for Xbox players, they’ll have to wait until Nov. 2021 to get to play the new mode sadly. Of course, Xbox players will have normal access to the full game outside of this one zombie mode.
Black Ops Cold War is set to release on Nov. 13, 2020, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, the Xbox consoles, and PC.
