Best Strains for Sunny Days

Sunny Day Strains

This morning I woke up to a coffee by the bed and blazing sunshine outside so I’m definitely in the mood to listen to my happy playlist and do a little look into the best sunny weather strains. When it’s gorgeous outside, especially if you’re in Scotland and you haven’t seen the sun properly in over 6 months, we definitely don’t want to just go for any old strain. We want euphoria, energy, creativity, chattiness, maybe a little snacky if we fancy a picnic. If hot weather isn’t something you’re used to then definitely make the best out of it with one of these amazing hot weather strains.

Amnesia Lemon Pie

This is a fantastic strain to start with, she’s fresh, zesty and made with one of the worlds finest strains. She was created by crossing Amnesia Haze and Lemon Pie, potentially not a shock. This strain is perfect for a sunny day not just because of her light and delicious lemon scent/flavour. The effect is powerful but euphoric, uplifting, and extremely creative. She also provides enough energy to really make the most of your sunny day. This is a strain that will suit people who struggle with depression or anxiety and may usually struggle to get out and enjoy the weather no matter how warm and sunny it is. Amnesia Lemon Pie is a perfect park with friends type strain. The creativity means she could be fun if you want to do some sort of outdoor project together. However, if you just want to sit around and talk shit while you take in that vitamin D she is 20% THC so she can definitely get you there. Amnesia Lemon Pie has a flowering time of 60 – 65 days and can be grown indoors or outdoors.

Strawberry Cough

This is another fruity strain, appropriate for the start of spring, that has a similar effect to the last one but isn’t quite so hard hitting. This little lady has a THC level of 10 – 15% so she is ideal if you are more interested in going for a walk or doing something else active. Strawberry Cough is a light, uplifting and euphoric strain that is great for going for a lovely woodland walk or maybe out to a cafe with a friend. Again she is usually recommended to those suffering from anxiety, depression or stress all of which can really ruin a nice day. The flavour and scent is definitely reminiscent of strawberry which is a nice touch for summer. Strawberry Cough has a flowering time of just 9 weeks and can be grown indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.

Chocolope

This strain comes up on almost every single article about good sunny day strains so I felt like she needed to go in. Chocolope is an extremely easy to grow strain that has won more awards than I can be bothered listing at this moment. Suffice to say this girl is very popular and for good reason. She is well known for her power and her THC level usually sits at around 17 – 18%. Chocolope is described as light and buzzy in the body and gives you a warm feeling that comes with a creative edge. No wonder she is so popular for sunny weather. Perfect for anyone who wants a powerful, cosy tummy experience that’s perfect for scampering around in the sun. She has a flowering time of 63 – 77 days and can be grown indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.

Maui Wowie

Here we have another happy go lucky classic strain. Maui Wowie is one of the most popular upbeat strains on the market and could never be left off a list like this. Medicinally it is used for stress, depression and pain due to its high level of CBD. If you struggle with any of these issues this little baby needs to have a place in your warm weather rotation. Once again we have a lovely fruity, citrusy flavour and scent. The effect itself is extremely uplifting, euphoric and just all round happy. She is an excellent companion on a nice walk or just chilling in the garden with some friends. She is also popular because she is a great option for first time growers. She has a flowering time of 9 – 11 weeks and can be grown indoors or outdoors.

Special Queen #1

This strain is perfect for just hanging out in the back garden with a book, a little picnic, some lemonade, all of that good stuff. She has a relaxing yet uplifting high that travels right through the body in a soothing yet functional effect. Her THC level is pretty high at 18% so newer smokers may want to be careful with her. If you have a day off from working through the lovely days and you just want to soak up the good vibes then definitely go for Special Queen #1. She is also extremely long lasting so you really get bang for your buck. She is often prescribed to those suffering with anxiety which makes her perfect for the modern young professional, and basically everyone at the moment, let’s be realistic. She has a flowering time of just 8 weeks and will grow well indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.

Girl Scout Cookies

Finally let’s go with a real classic, perfect for a lazy day with friends. Girl Scout Cookies is another classic that really doesn’t need introduction. She is energetic, euphoric and cerebral but has a real bodily relaxation to her. Hence being perfect for lying around in the sun, maybe having a beer or two, some snacks. Not only does she sound delicious but she tastes and smells amazing, a real treat. If you are new to smoking be very careful, this girl can have a THC level of up to 28%. I know, pretty mental, but as long as you don’t go overboard you should be absolutely fine. She has a flowering time of 55 – 60 days and is best grown indoors.
