FLASHPOINT Season 2 will return in an online format in early November, the tournament organizer has announced. Twelve teams will play online matches in the million-dollar CS:GO tournament. The broadcast talent will work out of a London studio.

FLASHPOINT Season 1 was one of the first events to be disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. The tournament had to move online and adjust its format due to the unforeseen circumstances. MAD Lions won the inaugural FLASHPOINT season after a 2-1 victory over MIBR.
Which Teams Will Play in FLASHPOINT Season 2?
Season 2 will see seven of the eight founding members in attendance. FunPlus Phoenix, which has had a rough entry in CS:GO, will focus on building a strong and competitive roster for 2021.

FunPlus Phoenix’s CS:GO entry has been full of problems and the organization could not field a stable roster for season 1. The organization will take more time to sign a complete roster as it has announced that it will not take part in FLASHPOINT Season 2.
Besides seven founding members, FLASHPOINT Season 2 will have three directly invited top-20 CS:GO teams. Two open-bracket qualifiers will fill the remaining two slots, registrations for which are underway. The first open qualifier starts on October 8 while the second one kicks off soon after on October 10.

B Site will take place online although the organizer has revealed that the tournament will be limited to teams that can quarantine in Europe. HLTV.org reported several tournament organizers are in discussions to bring North American CS:GO teams to Europe for the final few months of the year. B Site’s announcements suggest that FLASHPOINT Season 2 could be heading towards a LAN finish.
