An Apex Legends dataminer has discovered character-exclusive cosmetic packs that could be coming soon to the game.
Whether you’re looking to deck out a new main, or are simply working on collecting the best skins in the game, these rumored packs would give players the ability to pull duplicate-free cosmetics for the Legend of their choice.
According to GarretLeaks, Respawn Entertainment’s code for Apex Legends outlines the drop rates and overall description of a new, unreleased Thematic Pack system.
There will one Thematic Pack dedicated to each Apex Legend.
The Legend-exclusive packs will give cosmetics exclusive for a character—known as Thematic Items—that are rare or better and “drawn from the pool of items not already owned for the Legend.”
Each Thematic Pack will include three items, with at least one Thematic Item guaranteed. In the case that a player already owns all the Thematic Items for a character, the pack will instead draw three standard items just like a Rare Apex Pack.
The drop rates for the standard items included in the Thematic Packs, at least for now, are as follows:
GarretLeaks speculates that although these Thematic Packs could possibly drop before the end of Season 9, it’s more likely that Respawn saves them for Season 10 content down the line.
There are no details regarding how much these Thematic Packs would cost, but it seems reasonable that they would go for more than the 100-Apex Coin asking price of the normal Apex Packs.
