Alliance Air to Operate Shimla - Dharamshala and Shimla - Kullu Flights

Alliance Air, a front runner in promoting the Regional Connectivity Scheme, has recently recommenced its operations on the Delhi – Shimla – Delhi route using its ATR 42-600 aircraft, the ideal local commuter. In another development, the airline has opened bookings for two new routes connecting Shimla and successfully test landed Dornier at Ziro. Read to know the details.

Alliance Air to operate Shimla – Kullu and Shimla – Dharamshala Flights

The airline has opened bookings for Shimla – Kullu and Shimla – Dharamshala flights for travel starting from 16th October and 17th October 2022, respectively. Alliance Air will use its ATR 42-600 to operate these routes.

Alliance Air: Dornier 228 Aircraft Successfully Test Lands at Ziro ALG in Arunachal Pradesh

The 17-seater aircraft, HAL Dornier 228, operated by Alliance Air, test landed at the Ziro Advanced Landing Ground in the Lower Subansiri district. Ziro is the third destination of fixed wing operation in the state, with ATR-72 and Dornier 228 flights already in operation at Pasighat and Tezu Airports. The Civil Terminal Building at Ziro Airport (ZER) was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pema Khandu on 26th September 2022. With these developments, commercial flights from Ziro to Hollongi and Dibrugarh Airport will be starting soon.

Ziro

Ziro, 167 km from Itanagar, is the headquarters of Lower Subansiri District. This beautiful hill station is located 1500 metres above sea level and is one of the oldest towns in Arunachal Pradesh. The place has an imposing landscape of beautiful lush green forest, rivulets and elevated patches.
