By Dani Kass (March 7, 2022, 7:57 PM EST) — Judge Alan Albright, who was repeatedly chastised by the Federal Circuit in 2020 and 2021 over his refusal to transfer patent cases out of his Texas courtroom, has not faced a reprimand from the appeals court for more than three months. However, this lull doesn’t mean lawyers are done keeping a close eye on his court.

The lack of transfer drama bubbling out of the Western District of Texas has caught attorneys’ attention, given that there were 10 mandamus petitions granted overriding him in October and November 2021 alone.
