French cloud-based phone system Aircall has passed $1bn in value thanks to a sizeable Series D round led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
The $120m of new funding will be used to set up new European offices in London and Berlin for global expansion, Aircall said.
The company has raised more than $226m to date. Most of the company’s existing investors including DTCP, Next World Capital and Gaia Capital Partners also joined the funding round.
Founded in 2014, Aircall provides cloud-based phone system and call center softwares that integrates with CRM and helpdesk tools, such as Salesforce, Hubspot and Slack, allowing businesses to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
The company saw more than 65% customer growth last year boosted by the pandemic, with a third of revenue generated in the US. The company is looking to expand its 450 employee team with 260 new talents by the end of the year.

Earlier in the month, Goldman Sachs AM agreed on an co-investment with Leonard Green & Partners to invest in AEA Investors-owned decorative lighting company Visual Comfort.
