It was Election Day this past Tuesday here in the United States and the biggest losers (once again) were the pollsters. What they predicted heading into election day based on their polling data turned out to be mostly wrong. Again.
This is a cautionary tale for supply chain and logistics professionals: if you’re looking to become more data-driven in your decision making process, you have to make sure the data you’re using is accurate and trustworthy. Otherwise, you might end up with egg on your face.
Moving on, it was a relatively quiet week for supply chain and logistics news, but here’s what caught my attention this week:
