Blockchain.com users are savvy traders. They’re always looking for new and innovative ways to trade, hold, and swap crypto — especially when there are big movements in the market. So we’re excited to share that we’ve rethought our Swap experience and made it faster, cheaper, and better than before.
While the first version of Swap focused exclusively on-chain, the downside is that when the network gets busy and fees increase each swap is slow and expensive. We firmly believe in every user’s right to control their own money and will continue to support on-chain swaps, but today we’re introducing an option for swaps directly within the Trading Wallet.
When you select a crypto to swap, for another crypto, in the Trading Wallet the fees will be both low and clearly quoted, the swap will be near instantaneous, and it should feel effortless. This new experience is available to Gold and Silver level users who are eligible to use Trading Wallets, and is limited to the assets supported in the Blockchain.com Wallet. They can even use Swap to move funds into the new Swap experience from their non-custodial Wallet.
For global users who are not Gold level, you’ll be able to Swap crypto as you have in the past. We hope to make this better experience available to more users over time.
