Ahead of the festive season, Stellar Value Chain Solutions has hired close to 5,000 people to meet the expected surge in demand in e-commerce and other segments, such as fashion, lifestyle and retail, FMCG and consumer durables. Stellar is known for pioneering digitally-enabled end-to-end value-chain transformation in India. The Company has created jobs in the metros as well as the non-metro cities across India, including Indore, Lucknow, Raipur, Coimbatore and Jammu. The jobs have come up in the area of transportation, and at its hubs, sorting centres and warehousing facilities, given the added manpower, warehousing space and tech-enabled infrastructure.
The Company has scaled up its hiring in the supply chain solutions segment for serving the e-commerce and retail sectors.
“We’ll help our clients offer superior customer experience during the festive season,” says Anshuman Singh, chairman and managing director, Stellar Value Chain Solutions. The Company has also initiated the process of establishing a new warehousing facility compliant with Built-to-Suit (BTS) norms and state-of-the-art design.
These BTS facilities are fully EHS (environment, health and safety) compliant with fire-fighting equipment, such as fire hydrants and sprinklers, ventilation with six air changes per hour, and skylight on the roof. The warehouse is also equipped with a cloud-based warehouse management system to manage increased volumes of cargo efficiently, in the festive season. Stellar has also set up one-million square feet warehousing facilities in Hosur (Tamil Nadu), and Banur (Punjab) offering fulfilment and distribution services to e-commerce, consumer durables and retail sectors.
