5 Worst Junglers in League of Legends Patch 11.12

League of Legends Patch 11.12 will see a large nerf to one the better junglers as of late, but there are certainly others who will join him as part of the worst junglers in this patch.

Aside from Udyr, a lot of the junglers that are the worst in this patch have remained unchanged since the last. As the meta slowly brings tanks into the picture, those that can clear jungle camps fast and provide great presence in team fights are the current makeup of the better junglers.

With a high skill ceiling and tanks starting to transition into the meta, Lillia is a small unicorn in a forest filled with huge hunters. A small, but effective package is what Lillia can abuse for players that do not know how to play against her. However, as team fights will begin to be more drawn out with champions with higher HP, Lillia’s kit can just fall flat even after a proper engage. If the enemy team composition does offer squishier champions, she can still be a menace, but it’s unlikely that most teams will fit that profile for this patch.

Gwen can be regarded as one of the better top laners to play for the upcoming patch, but this does not necessarily translate to a success in the jungle. Her kit aligns with more damage, which can be great for clears, but Gwen doesn’t provide enough utility to prove effective if enemies see her coming, rendering her presence and ganks to be ineffective despite her damage. Just play her in the top lane.

The name of the game right now for jungles is to clear immediately and to gank or make plays soon after. For Nautilus, his jungle clears will require a lot of time in order to do so. By the time Nautilus can clear his jungle, the enemy jungle likely would have already ganked a lane by then. He provides a considerable amount of HP for team fights in which he can stay alive, but getting other lanes ahead immediately is currently the priority in this meta.

Trundle is simply unviable until future patches can either buff more tank items or buffs on his abilities. He can provide quick jungle clears and thrives when split pushing on towers, but provides little utility for teams that are trying to secure kills. He’ll likely remain in the shadows for a few weeks.

In this patch’s most controversial update, Udyr seemed to take the biggest nerf to his kit, likely due to how effective he is in both solo queue and professional play. A massive change to his Phoenix Stance (R) ability has drastically changed the cone damage from 60-310 to 50-275, though its AP scaling has increased from 70% to 80%. His effectiveness in team fights will definitely be lessened, though it’s likely he will still see a lot of play because of the utility of his kit. Udyr will definitely struggle in the jungle if players can’t adapt to the lack of damage.

Shanghai Dragons win Overwatch League June Joust

Published

on

Leave it to the Shanghai Dragons and Dallas Fuel to give Overwatch League fans a true show during the June Joust tournament. The two teams went head to head in the second tournament cycle of the year, repeating a showdown that took place in the May Melee. While that competition ended 4-2 in the Fuel’s favor, Shanghai brought the fire back to them in this revenge tour.

After dropping 1-3 midway through the series, the Shanghai Dragons completed an unprecedented reverse sweep against the Dallas Fuel to take the June Joust tournament with a 4-3 score. Shanghai appeared to adapt and create a response to the Fuel’s dominant composition over the course of the series.

The first two maps of the Grand Finals, Lijiang Tower and Volskaya, looked identical to the Dallas Fuel’s 3-0 sweep against Shanghai earlier this weekend. While the Dragons had a few good attacks, the Fuel’s cohesion was too strong for them to handle. Both maps went to Dallas in a dominant fashion.

On Shanghai’s map choice, Numbani, something within the Dragons seemed to wake up. The team held the Fuel before second point thanks to vastly improved coordination and hero plays from Shanghai’s DPS Lee “LIP” Jae-won.

By fourth map Rialto, the Dragons looked like an entirely different team. By capitalizing on engagements from main tank Koo “Fate” Pan-seung’s Wrecking Ball, the Dragons were able to take a speedy map completion. A massive five-player D.Va Self-Destruct by off-tank Kang “Void” Jun-woo didn’t hurt, either. Despite this, the Fuel managed to come back at the last second in the map’s overtime rounds to take the series to 3-1.

Not to be outdone, the Shanghai Dragons took the Fuel to Busan and played Dallas’ own game. Instead of opting for a creative composition, the Dragons played a variation of the Fuel’s signature North American “neo-GOATS” meta and narrowly defeated them.

Things got much more wild on Eichenwalde, where both teams had to switch up hero picks to get ahead. The map initially looked ugly for the Dragons, but a miracle push at point B led to a full completion for the team. Shanghai got the Fuel down to overtime on several occasions during the latter’s attack round, but clutch plays from the Dragons’ DPS led to a hold on Dallas before the final point.

Final map Junkertown was marked with aggressive, brutal attacks from both teams. Shanghai was unable to complete the map thanks to a forceful defense from Dallas, but the tables turned by the time the Fuel’s attack came around. With mastery of the meta that would have been incomprehensible at the start of the series, Shanghai held the Fuel before point B and brought home the June Joust championship.

As the winners of the June Joust tournament, the Dallas Fuel will bring home $100,000 in prize money as well as three “league points,” which factor into postseason standings. The Shanghai Dragons, as the runners-up, will still earn two league points and $70,000.

All teams will get a break next week, but the Overwatch League returns on June 25.

More information about Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla “Siege of Paris” was revealed at the E3 2021 Ubisoft Forward showcase.

Ubisoft’s Forward showcase at E3 2021 proved to be one Hel of a ride for Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla fans. Not only will they be seeing support for the game well into its second year—a first for the franchise—they’ll be getting a ton of new content including a Discovery Tour in the Fall and another expansion, Siege of Paris, in the Summer.

The “Siege of Paris” expansion follows Jarl Eivor Varensdottir and the Raven Clan through one of the most notable battles in Viking Age history in what is currently modern-day France.

The invasion took place in 845 AD in West Francia. It was supposedly led by the legendary Ragnar Lodbrok—though, in-game, players will likely see it carried out by one of his sons. The collective fleet contained 120 ships carrying an unknown number of warriors said to be in the thousands. They sailed up the river Seine in early March of that year and had sacked the city by the end of the month.

Viking invaders took control of Paris and plundered it for its riches, only withdrawing after being paid a ransom of approximately 5665 lbs. of silver and gold by Charles the Bald, king of Francia at the time.

Siege of Paris is slated for a Summer 2021 release.

Rainbow Six Siege will be getting a cross play feature, according to the 2021 Ubisoft Forward.

Tom Clancy fans, rejoice! Rainbow Six Siege (RSS) is getting both cross play and cross-progression features. Finally, players can connect across the divide, allowing for a wider variety of gameplay styles and larger teammate pool. Even better: account-wide progress can be carried to whatever platform players migrate to in the future.

Here’s when it’s set to go live.

RSS players will be able to enjoy all the benefits of cross play and cross progression by early 2022 at the latest. According to information revealed during the Ubisoft Forward broadcast at E3 2021, however, not all platforms have been created equal.

PC, Stadia, and Luna players will be able to experience a functional cross play/progression system by its roll-out date, June 30. However, we assume the company will want to make minor adjustments here and there within the first week or so. It may take a bit before the full breadth and width of bonuses are working as they should.

Unfortunately, console players will have to wait until a still-unknown date in “early 2022.” Hopefully, with PC’s earlier date, console players won’t have to worry about any significant bugs that don’t have a published workaround.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 could see a release date in the far future.

Frontier Developments is currently working on the sequel to its 2018 dino-park management simulator, Jurassic World Evolution. The new game titled simply “Jurassic World Evolution 2,” aims to build upon the “groundbreaking and immersive” features seen in its predecessor. Players will be able to progress through a “compelling” new narrative campaign with incredible mechanics and “awe-inspiring” dinosaurs.

Here’s when it’s expected to launch.

There is currently no release date for Jurassic World Evolution 2. Its Steam store listing only states a vague “coming soon,” with no year—let alone a month or day. Fortunately, the trailer is a bit more giving, revealing it will launch later this year in 2021.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is set after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Players will have the opportunity to work alongside iconic franchise characters such as Dr. Ian Malcolm for the conservation and protection of these now-endangered species. Full customization options including building, terraforming, and in-depth management will be available—alongside 75 pre-historic species to revive.

Additionally, fans will be able to relive situations from the films as they played out in both the original Jurassic Park and Jurassic World facilities. “Chaos Theory” mode allows players to “play through key moments” and “experience ‘what-if’ scenarios” in all locations spread throughout the movies.
