To cook oils, you will need the same amount of herb and lecithin, but swap out the butter for cooking oil. It’s recommended to use coconut oil or olive, grapeseed, almond, walnut, sesame, avocado, macadamia, or peanut oil. The device is not compatible with ordinary soybean, canola, extra virgin olive, or corn oil. 

Tinctures need 7-28 grams of herb per cup, 2-5 cups of Everclear grain alcohol, and 151 to 190 proof (or vegetable glycerin). While you should always be careful in the kitchen, these particular ingredients are highly flammable. 

Step 3: Cooking

Press the Temperature button, then press the Timer button to select butter, oil, or tincture, and let the magical experience begin. The machine will heat, shop, and stir your infusion. The standard cycle time for oil is 1 hour, for butter 2 hours, and for tincture 4 or 8 hours. After the cycle is complete, unplug the unit and remove the top. Put your heat-resistant glove on and slowly pour the contents through the micron filter into silicone molds or other storage containers. Use a dark glass container to store oils and tinctures. 

Step 4: Cleaning

Tricked you. The unit is self-cleaning. After each use, rinse the pitcher and blades and fill the machine between MIN and MAX with water and a little dish soap. Be careful not to immerse any electrical or black plastic parts. Secure the lid and press the Clean button.
